Hey, 60 Minutes, remember when the early Space Program had only success? [View all]

I remember when Walter Cronkite reported how marvelously error free NASA was and how we should shut it down if they made any mistakes.
I am also sure Thomas Edison found the perfect light bulb the first time out.
Let's ignore the Faux style hatchet job you did on Clean Tech.
Do you think something that might be essential to the very survival of Mankind might be worth pursuing, even if every step is not successful?
