I think there are wider social implications to the movement. It was a time when there were social 'rules' and the norm was the two parent household where the wife stayed home. Young people now are feeling the economic stress of our times and long for what they consider a more stable period. Morality was black and white, no choice, no having to actually think about things. Girls who got pregnant went "away to stay with family" (home for unwed mothers) and gave their babies up for adoption.
These people want to go back to the good old days that they never experienced...to 'simpler' times. Interesting that all the photos were of white people....
