(31,849 posts)Yes ... you have the "right" to make the request; but what people seem to not want to understand is, they have an equal "right" to NOT honor your request.
Also, I think people read into your post "Lesson Learned (end of remark)" as "these guys were acting in a manner that offended me. I asked them nicely to stop and they told me to go get f@$%ed ... Yeah, I kind of understand why the guy started shooting."
I think society will be a much better place to live when people realize we cannot control how other people act (and a request for someone to stop doing something, is an attempt to control that other person. All we can/should do is control how we act/respond and that action/response should only involve ourselves.
The witness that testified at trial got it right ... He heard the "music" and they chose to park away from what he found offensive.
