Yes, I know the use of "most compassionate" above drew your response, but I'd like to put in a kind word for the Obamas, especially when this particular story is likely not well-known even among Democrats, let alone the general public.
By the way, I recall the Clintons also spending a fair portion of their White House years consoling the bereaved.
