they do spot checks of domestic and foreign products. It's how they stop the import of a lot of stuff from Asia that is full of stuff that shouldn't be there. If they find a lot of problems with any company manufacturing the juice, either the importation of stuff from that company will be shut down or domestic manufacturers will be brought into compliance.

It's likely to add a little to the overall cost of the product, but at least you won't run the risk of inhaling cyanide for that nice almond flavor.
