the SPLC recognizes the Nation of Islam as a hate group.

And does Thompson not remember the Republicans' show impeachment of Bill Clinton?

On Obamacare, he's right, since Republicans did expand "government-run health care" under GW Bush (Medicare Part D). But Republicans were united against Obamacare even before it was Obamacare (it was during Bill Clinton's administration). Furthermore, the book Do Not Ask What Good We Do has the inside story about Republicans united against the Obama agenda, "because Obama".

Bottom line is, as nutty as Thompson's interviewer is, this is one of those truths that wrong wingers will scream and shout down at infinite decibels.
