(54,814 posts)I hosted the Gun Control Reform Activism group, not GD. I didn't go into GD and tell people what I thought about stuff because I wasn't a GD host, but I saw other people do it all the time. The one time I posted a thread about an SOP concern in my group, other people who don't even post in that group jumped in. Their views were counter to the three hosts of the gun control group, who all agreed on a lock, so I simply ignored them.
If someone signs up to host Good Reads, their job is Good Reads, not GD. Isn't it? How could she appropriately help make decisions about GD? I can see an advantage to signing up just to see what is going on, but other than that, unless she gets on the waiting list for GD, hosting decisions in this forum aren't hers. Am I wrong?
