The Bad:
1. Most importantly, the Judge didn't allow me to put forth my witnesses. Namely, the impartial dog warden who was going to say Lady has been an angel even with a bullet wound to the head and painful facial sores inflicted while in County custody. Also, my client, you know, the one whose civil rights were at stake, wasn't allowed to testify. I don't think that has ever happened before in the history of American jurisprudence. Most courts in Afghanistan and Iraq run fairer trials than that. It was beyond disgraceful.
2. Speaking of disgraceful... the News didn't report on that aspect of the proceedings. Speaking of burying the lead. That would be the equivalent of, on the night Lincoln was assassinated, writing a critique of the play he was attending than reporting on the assassination.
3. A Captain from the Sheriff's office called me a little faggot. Yep.
4. They didn't give me water during the whole proceeding, which I've never seen before... water is ALWAYS out for the attorney's in courtrooms. Meanwhile, they were bestowing bottles of Poland Spring to the Town Prosecutor. More on her on a minute.
5. This wretched and vindictive town prosecutor, Jill Anderson, was allowed to stand next to me while I was doing my cross examinations, and was yelling in my ear at times. I've NEVER hit a woman... it was all I could do to keep that streak going. Just kidding... sort of.
6. Speaking of Attorney's...The County Attorney, Tom Navarro, was also there on the taxpayer dime, sitting there with a smug look on his face. I just want to fight him straight up. He had no business being there. When I spoke to him in regards to the case throughout the week, his response was... "this whole thing is not a big deal... you are making it into a big deal."
7. Speaking of taxpayer dime...There were about 10 cops in the courtroom, including the captain that called me a faggot. He makes at least 40 and hour, and they were being paid just to stand there and watch this charade, while kicking out animal advocates INCLUDING a witness of mine. When brought to the Judge's attention, he said the witness must have been acting up.
8. Again, speaking of taxpayer dime, all 3 Gestapo agents, Graham, Noecker, and McCarthy had sworn out the complaint before this same Judge on August 3rd. Meanwhile, only one makes the complaint on an application for a drug search warrant. Also, they were all getting paid serious overtime to sit there perjuring themselves and torturing my client. When I asked them whether shooting dogs and filing complaints was profitable, the Judge disallowed that question. In law, questions that go to bias, credibility, and motive are ALWAYS relevant. Just not in Sardinia.
9. Greg McCarthy is a serial dog shooter and waste of a human being.
10. Of course, there is way more, but I'll leave it at that for now. I didn't sleep til 4:00 am and have had uncontrollable outbursts of anger for for about a week, and all last night. My wonderful gf has been a godsend... don't know where I would be without her.
