We're once again trying to micromanage things thousands of miles away without a clear idea of what we're doing, who we're doing it for, and a bunch of people with a reputation for swiping arms away from their intended recipients has . . . swiped the arms away from their intended recipients! I'm so surprised, you could knock me over with a feather.

The only thing our country believes in anymore is violence. The obvious solution is to flood the area with even more arms and weaponry, in hopes that some of them will fall into the right hands - whoever that is. If this was a pool hall, we'd call it the spray and pray method of shooting pool. As long as the arms manufacturers get paid for their wares, this is all just fine with our leaders and the people who elect them. No sense doing anything else, as our brilliant strategy is clearly working precisely as intended.
