They're not supposed to be coronations, where everyone walks on eggshells and is reluctant to discuss issues that may weaken the "inevitable" candidate.

They're supposed to establish and refine a vision and direction for the Democratic Party, not just rubber-stamp the dubious viewpoints of a smug, corporatist saber-rattler.
