11. I was wondering when he'd crawl out of the woodwork. -

Once when Bloomberg was mayor (1st term) I was being driven to a home by the fiance of a woman who was giving up a cat because the fiance was allergic. Fiance was an NYPD cop. During the ride I just let him talk, and he talked and talked about his allergies but mostly about how former mayor Giuliani let the cops "do their jobs". He clearly preferred the Generalissimo over new Mayor Bloomberg who had a much more evenhanded policy toward NYPD. When Giuliani was mayor cops ruled. Many civil rights cases were filed during his time in office due to police misconduct, and NYC ended up settling most of them for millions each.
