4. This was an incredibly stupid decision

take the "gun" out of the equation and ad anything being exchanged higher than market value and people will quickly take advantage of the disparity, I don't know about in Oregon but here we have cash for gift cards stores which would give around 60% at-least for a $25 gift card exchanged for an $8 magazine. I have a feeling it is a hell of a lot more than gun enthusiasts who took advantage of this easy profit opportunity once the word of mouth got around.

Fred Meyer should know better or don't care about the costs involved in the exchange.
