58. It would still take time to go to jury

Because of the extremely expensive discovery process in a murder trial.

One problem they will have is actually empaneling a jury. Why, finding folks who know little to none will be difficult. The Anthony Trial shows it can be done, but that alone took over two weeks, it usually takes less then a week, in a few cases same day.

But there is a reason a few first degree get pleaded down to second. DA's know the expense. So if I can have joe go to jail and admit his gilt, saving the state both money and time...sure.

Murder trials, due to how high the stakes are, take both time and lots of money.

I usually recomend law and order for procedures, the closest of these dramas to real life. But consistently they get one thing wrong, the time it takes to go before an actual jury.

To add, will be pleasantly surprised if this goes before a Jury before Christmas, and Omara, Zymmerman's lawyer, requested the delay to get this one to cool down, see the jury issues.
