Common Cause and The Hill are already talking 5 billion... for some context, that is give or take a few million, my County's annual budget.

This is why I really don't care who runs at the Presidential level. The Dems could run Luke Skywalker and he would still be presented as a Sith Lord, while the Emperor will be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Mind you, niether side is running either a sith lord, or luke skywalker.

Be scared, this is spreading to state and local elections too. Some of the donations for an assembly seat that is quite safe... are down right scary.

I am willing to bet my Congressional district, one of the 10 actual competitive ones, will run more than 17 million when all is said and done... it ran 17 last time around.
