(12,344 posts)Did it actually burn down? I had read that a CVS and a Rite-Aid had been looted, but that was a number of hours ago.
If those pharmacies are closed down, however, it is a matter of concern. Here is an example:
<You're the mother of a 10 year old girl getting chemo for leukemia The doctor called in her prescription to CVS for steroids that she is required to take the day before her chemo treatments. The pharmacy ran it through your daughter's insurance and filled the prescription prior to suddenly being shut down today.>
<You can't pick up the prescription. Another pharmacy can't fill it because it has already been run through her insurance. For it to be run through at another pharmacy, CVS has to cancel out their claim. You don't have the money to pay for this yourself.>
<You try to get this resolved by calling another CVS and calling the doctor's office. This takes all day, the window for taking the steroid is over, and now you have to cancel her chemo for tomorrow.>
Freddie Gray's death is another senseless death in a string of tragedies being perpetrated against black youth in our country. When will it end, for God's sake?
It doesn't mean we should lose our understanding of other peoples' troubles and the plights they find themselves in during these difficult times.
