4. Pepsi and Frito Lay in India

supply India, they don't export back to the US. We have our own Pepsi and Frito Lay factories that supply us (which, coincidentally, we don't export much/any of).

Opening the India factories allowed PepsiCo/FritoLay to expand globally, and have different markets (and products). Sort of like McDonalds in Paris, or Dominos in Japan (you know they put potatoes and mayo on pizza at the Japanese Dominos?). In this sense, I agree 100% with Hillary. The companies make more money, and buy building the factories in the places that they service, they pump money into those local economies as well, not to mention the farmers that supply the product.

Interesting tidbit: All PepsiCo and Lays India product is 100% vegetarian. The same cannot be said of the US.

ETA: I don't know much about the H1b situation, so I have no comment on the second quote.
