106. I honestly don't get it.

I have a co-worker who made that argument. I really couldn't understand it. He said a lot of ugly things that were hard to deal with.

That people should be able to get minimum wage jobs at age 16 and then get the skills to get paid more... and anyone who couldn't do that has something wrong with them...

That raising the minimum wage diminishes the value of those already making $15. Why did they push themselves to get ahead only to end up making the same amount as a burger flipper?

Or worse still, people making $15/hour would ask for raises. Like that's a bad thing...

Ironically, he was the only white guy in the room, and the only one with that opinion. It got very nasty. We tried to agree to disagree, but that was not acceptable to him.
