we had one do a rampage through the back yard. The Mr hung suet out a little too early one year and the bear tore down 2 clothes lines one holding the suet and one holding some birdseed; and was rolling the hummingbird feeder around on the deck to lick out the sugar water. I heard the noise, looked out the window only to see a big black hairy ass pressed against it so I pounded on the window. He took off like a rocket that time... but we can't put anything including compost out until winter now. There is a problem animal around so everyone is on best behaviour as we don't want to see it have to be killed. It was going after one neighbours chickens and another's fruit tree.
