9. with some tears I am recalling a stanza from "Amazing Grace" that seems so a propos

at this time:

Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

I am so glad that Carter has his faith. It comforts me to know that he is facing this with such strength that his faith gives him.
