Today is the start of open enrollment for people covered by Medicare health or prescription drug plans.

Even if you’re content with the plan you have, the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services say you should check to see if there’s something cheaper or better that you could choose before open enrollment ends Dec. 7.

The agency said developing an annual review routine can save money, improve coverage and avoid problems.
