8. I remember back in the day when local hospitals offered to x-ray Halloween candy.

I don't really remember if those x-rays actually ever happened, but I do know that there never were any incidents in which candy was found with razor blades or needles in them.

When my oldest brother's boys were trick or treating I gave each of them a full size Snickers bar with a ten inch nail poked through them.
