30. Creepy person. The GOP has gotten so extreme

that more and more well functioning conservatives backed away over the years, and these people have been filling the vacuum -- funded by people like the Kochs and their spider web of organizations.

This has been going on for so long that it's easy to forget that there are sensible and honest leadership-quality conservatives out there -- because they've been refusing to enter politics for some years now.

And that's from someone (me) who believes that middle-to-hard-right conservatives are fundamentally incompetent and unsuited to governance of diverse peoples in eras of change (which is to say, any time anywhere).
