Invisibility has been tried for decades

mini van with soccer mom or dad and 2 kids passes homeless..mommy look at the poor man
mom or dad: don't look at him/her!

it's culturally ingrained by now
go stand on a center 'refuge' of a street corner for an hour and see how invisible you became

mostly only cops will notice you
