Let other allies and superpacs fling shit back at Trump drawing attention to what a piece of human garbage he is.

I think it's done entirely to bring Hillary herself down to a level that he operates best at. I don't think the old affairs have any affect on her with the voters one way or the other. Could even be a prime opportunity to highlight Trump's lack of real policy to run on and look more presidential.
