(12,081 posts)I have had anxiety and depression issues all my life. Anti-anxiety medication helps alleviate some of my fatigue, but daily activities are still difficult. I have had iron deficiencies in the past as well. I have a uterine fibroid. I try to eat food rich in iron, take a multi-vitamin and take iron pills while I'm on my menstrual cycle. During my menstrual cycle, I can get extremely fatigued and sometimes my pulse increases and I feel faint. I'm wondering if there might be a hormone aspect to my menstrual symptoms. I also participated in a sleep study that found I fall asleep in under five minutes which they say is abnormal, but I don't fit the description of any particular sleep disorder. I too hate the stigma that fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue have. We are not just lazy or tired.
