by this i mean these days i am very busy and don't have time to go out with friends or even think about it much.
but in my day to day life there are people i see regularly and may now consider my friends even though we don't really do stuff outside of our usual work or whatever together.

hospitals want to 'hand off" the patient to someone. They don't even take your word

I can't believe the doctor or medical facility doesn't have a service to pickup/return patients.

I know of 2 people who have explained this to doctors and both times they were kept overnight
