(781 posts)It was wrong for sure, an evil act. Trump voters made a terrible error in judgement. And in a just and fair world they would all suffer some retribution for the damage they have inflicted. And if Trump does what we expect of him, many of them will (along with innocents who don't deserve it).
But was it an act of irredeemable evil? Like cold blooded murder? Or was it a redeemable act, on par with a lesser crime? If it was irredeemable, we're sunk as a country. The best we can hope for is peaceful partition into two or more nations. I agree that Trump voters all gave aid and comfort to racists, but I argue that many are redeemable as people. And at some point we will have to offer forgiveness if we are going to move forward as one united nation.
