Motivated to "do something". For one thing, there is a lot of denial that Trump is THAT dangerous. Psychiatrists and mental health professionals have given their opinions on what is going on inside of Trump's head, but many people resist admitting that he is a real threat to our way of life. Kind of a ..."can't happen here" mentality. Plus, tRump is a master manipulator and can be charming when he wants to be. So he can continue to fool a lot of the people for a while longer. In other words, his psychiatric issues are going to have to be a lot worse before some of his supporters will see the truth.
Another factor is that all of this so-called transition has been happening during one of our most distracting times....the holidays. We have a 6 week period in our country of feasting, shopping, partying, etc that has kept many people busy and not focused on what tRump has been saying and doing. This will be ending tonight and tomorrow so maybe people will come back to reality and start paying attention to things that could impact our way of life and governing.
Still, once tRump is in office, he will continue to tell us that there is nothing to see and to move along. His staff and advisors will do the same. Minimize things, cover up and deflect. So those of us who know there are hidden answers in his taxes and other documents must never turn our backs and forget about it. There are good reasons we never saw his tax returns because the evidence of his connections to Putin and others will be found there.
I keep hoping that a smoking gun will be found and that a miracle will happen before January and tTump's inauguration....but unfortunately, I know deep down, it won't be that simple. I think the misery will continue for a long time before enough people wake up to demand that he be stopped by the people who can do that....the Congress. Not a very cheerful or optimistic point of view, but that's how I feel.
