(8,613 posts)I just don't comment, even when they piss me off. It's worked most of the time for 14 years. Sometimes I fall off the wagon, lol, but it usually quickly ends with my recommitment to ignore the assholes. I've never put anyone on ignore, I've never used the trash functions, because I want to know what people think, especially if their opinion is different from mine. I've never been a big commenter anyway, hence my low post count for my years here, particularly when I'm here most every day. For me, this is the place I can find reputable news from reputable sources, and that outweighs the assholes who are here for an argument and to stir trouble. My usual method is to write the comment and then delete before posting...its when I hit post instead of deleting that gives me that 10% heartburn! But you are correct...it is a small group who are keeping the turmoil churning, and they're having a blast because our division is exactly what they want.
