Religious Liberties are NOT under attack....... [View all]

Despite what people are hearing from members of both Houses of Congress, on Cable News shows, on radio, Religious Liberties are not under attack.

The truth of the matter is, Religious liberties continue to be protected. Every citizen of this country is guaranteed the right, under the Constitution, to practice his or her religion in the manner they see fit without Government interference. Thzt there shall be no establishment kf a set religion that all citizens must follow.

The same shall be said for the interference of Religion in our Government. The wall of Seperation between Church and State must remain strong. The United States is not a Christian nation. But a secular nation with a secular Government made up of Christians, Jews, Muslims, Sihks, Hindus, Buddhists, religious and non-religious groups. Enacting laws that cite scripture or use religion to discriminzte against another religion, sectors of the the American population, race, etc., is WRONG.

In conjunction to the Executive Order Trump signed regarding that Churches should not be punished for getting involved with Politics be removing their tax exemption status, is the use of religion to influence law. Any Church that involves itself in political speech, endorses a particular candidate, gives money to that candidate, DOES INDEED deserve to lose their Tax Exempt status.

The phone lines are open.
