I remember thinking that at the time Trump was having a rally there. Clinton was comfortably ahead there...5 pts or something. Even after the October surprise.
But Trump gets up there & shouts that he knows he's going to win Pennsylvania. It didn't sound like just campaign talk this time. He said he IS going to win...that if he doesn't win, then the "election is rigged!" Remember when he started saying that shortly before the election?
It doesn't sound like much, but as a political junkie who watches every debate and most campaign speeches that are televised, I picked up on something. I thought at the time..."that doesn't make sense. The odds are very much against him. Clinton will almost surely win PA. She's been solidly ahead for a while with no signs of a change. What an odd, offbeat thing to say."
That was about the time Trump said at a rally somewhere, "Russia, if you're listening....we need those 30,000 emails!" When I heard that, I thought that was odd, too. I told someone, "That sounds like a directive. Could that be a directive? That doesn't sound like his normal campaign trash talk." Just a few days later, a bunch of Clinton stuff was dumped by Wikipedia.
I'm convinced that Russia, w/the help of the Trump campaign, was able to do something in Pennsylvania that led to a Trump win.
I also am convinced that they were able to tweak enough votes in single districts in a couple of other states, like maybe Michigan.
It would take tweaking only in a couple of swing districts in key states.
BTW...I remember Ohio in 2004. That seemed illegal to me, but the Dems didn't do anything about it. Few people remember that, if they even knew about it at the time. But I remember, sort of. The Sec of State himself did it, as I recall.
