So it isn't the parents complaining but other "concerned" citizens.

Personally I am reluctant to tell parents where they should not allow their children to go. Now had the school done this without notice and the parents were complaining, that would be a completely different story.

I think I would have found a slaughter house visit interesting; I still would. IMO it is beneficial to know how that food gets to my plate.
