1. Amazon may prevent increased inflation

Economists have been confused about why we haven’t seen inflation already. Some argue that Amazon, which does not try to make profits and instead aims to increase its market share, has kept prices flat. And other sellers dare not raise prices for fear of losing customers to Amazon.

So economists do expect a resurgence of inflation but it is not clear it will happen.

People will get screwed in other ways even if there is low inflation. Spending will be cut to pay for the tax cuts for the rich. This tax bill will help the rich get richer while everyone else will keep treading water, at best.
