In reply to the discussion: Baton Rouge shooting: Three police officers dead and several injured [View all]StraightRazor
(260 posts)49. I was thinking the same thing, especially about Baton Rouge of late...
Everything I've seen coming out of there has been pretty brutal where the actions of the police are concerned. Eventually, in a pressure cooker like that, someone is going to take it too far and something like this happens.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was indeed a planned ambush, which is horrible.
The Feds should be sent in to do the policing for the next month or so, as it seems to me that the BRPD/Sheriff's Office will be unable to be level-headed at all now with regard to protesters, having lost three or four fellow officers...I hope there isn't any more carnage on either side but it sure doesn't seem likely that peace will spontaneously break out.
