There was a russian airbase right next to the syrian one.
What would have happened if Trump hadn't warned Russia?
A hail of US cruise-missiles incoming on a russian airbase???
WTF do you think what kind of split-second decision the Russians would have come to with the US seemingly bombarding a russian airbase??????

Trump doesn't want a war.
This was a demonstration of power.
He wants to show Assad who's boss.
Trump wants to be feared and respected, but he never takes on somebody big enough to be a threat to him.
