ETA you know, why be surprised. how can i continue to be shocked at what this asshole does. he slobbered all over the Saudis and they behead people, force women to cover from head to toe as if the sight of a woman would blind a man, won't even allow her to drive or walk to the store by herself! He calls up the president of the Philippines who has unleashed a wave of extrajudicial murders on the basis of possible involvement with drugs and kisses his ass, invites him to the WH. he says he had to let spies into the oval office because putin requested it and "what? i'm going to say no to putin?"

why am i surprised at this point. i guess in a way i'm really not. i'm shocked, but not surprised. that i still can be shocked, that's a surprise. but i really don't want to lose the basic human decency that gives rise to my shock. and so we go.
