(31,400 posts)19. I agree with her on this point, depending on where the line is drawn.
For example, I think an unwanted kiss or touch should be met with a firm shove and a hearty 'fuck you', not a lawsuit or a police report or a trip to HR (unless it happens again). We women should not be afraid to stick up for ourselves. We don't do ourselves any favors by being painted as victims.
Yes, I understand that this has not always been a successful strategy for women in the past, particularly as it relates to workplace abuse. But I think it should be a goal to strive for, not that it should never ever occur, but because we are strong and have power, that we should be able to say no and that will be enough.
