A teacher who was barricaded inside a North Georgia high school Wednesday has been taken into custody, police said.

Dalton High School was evacuated after at least one shot was fired inside the building, which is about 91 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta.

During the evacuation, one student was hurt, police said. That student is being treated by emergency officials for an ankle injury.

No other students were injured.
