is a good student with a gun. Arm the students! They can defend themselves from disgruntled teachers who would love to kill them in a moment of rage. 
I have personally witnessed several teachers slap students in the face, grab them roughly, or smack them in the back of the head. Why yes, I did go to school in Appalachian Trump country, how did you guess? Come on, teachers can get irritated and do irrational things. Students can be assholes. It happens.
These situations are always better without a gun.
