.... as I hadn't seen this thread . I'll go see if I can delete it as the topic is covered already.
I worked for Mr. Carter's campaign as a volunteer phone bank worker. But I cannot believe what I read when he said this. I am totally dismayed to tell you the truth.
Well, I went back to delete it but it already had a bunch of comments so I left it. Sorry for the double post. I agree with the majority of the comments here too. I do NOT understand his reasoning behind those comments. These are not normal times and we are not dealing with normal people so normal responses are so much wasted energy.

He's wrong. But, to be fair, there are a lot of other Republicans who are as bad as Trump.

I'm arguing that there should be additional requirements to appearing on the ballot,

What other types of criteria do you think states could legally require to be on a ballot?

What would an impeachment to to people? Show us that no one is above the law?

Have you done any research on Trump's mentor & background? He will never resign. Never. Ever.

BINGO!!!! FOUND IT. Trump contributed to Carter (not Reagan) in that death-watch election 1979.

This is why Jimmy Carter was not a good President, He always tried to look for the "better angels"

You know, the knock on Carter was always "he's too good of a man to be President"

Yep, we've already seen his character and the country needs no more of the chaos he thrives on.

What I find interesting is that Carter was far more critical of Obama than he has ever been of Trump

Loving your enemies is paramount in the Christian faith. Carter is a TRUE Christian.
