You can buy a GM nameplate Chevy Spark, which still comes with manual option, and is the cheapest car on market. I am driving one currently, with CVT tranny, and I love this little car for mostly in city driving. I hate shifting gears 500 times every day, so I like the CVT automatic.

I already pay more...but I have not noticed the foreign cars being particularly cheap at the moment.
