Mitt Romney's RNC Chair Niece Attacks Him Over Trump Critique [View all]

After former Republican candidate for president (and Senator-elect for the state of Utah) Mitt Romney blasted President Donald Trump in an op-ed published on Tuesday evening, some in the Republican Party felt it was necessary to throw shade back at him including his own niece, Ronna McDaniel, who is the current head of the RNC.
In his opinion piece published in the Washington Post, Romney took aim directly at the president for failing to be the leader this nation needs, noting that the Trump presidency made a deep descent in December after a spate of resignations and other gaffes.
To a great degree, a presidency shapes the public character of the nation, Romney added. A president should unite us and inspire us to follow our better angels.'
RNC Chair Rhona Romney responded:
POTUS is attacked and obstructed by the [mainstream] media and Democrats 24/7, McDaniel wrote. For an incoming Republican freshman senator to attack @realdonaldtrump as their first act feeds into what the Democrats and media want and is disappointing and unproductive.
