I believe all military, including military Air Traffic Controllers, are getting paid during the Trump shutdown, except for the Coast Guard.

But the Secret Service is not getting paid, and Melania took a bunch for security with her to go to Mar-a-lago.

The military would have provided security for Pelosi on her trip to Afghanistan, so Pelosi would not have used government workers working without pay.
