During a speech held by the Jewish Republican Coalition on Saturday, President Donald Trump told audience members that Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu is their prime minister — a common anti-Semitic trope.

While discussing a meeting he had at the White House with Netanyahu in which he made the controversial decision to “recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights,” Trump told the audience he “stood with your prime minister.”
