27. i don't care about his name.

but i want to know. was it domestic, was it work-related, was it a white supremacist or an islamic radical?

it appears this killer worked there. i really don't care about the name as much as i want to know the motivation. if the motivation is notoriety, fine. let's not say his name. but i still want to know where on the mass shooting spectrum this falls. is it another young white man? an old disgruntled POC? A suicidal jihadist or a nazi wanna-start-a-race-war shooter? an angry husband/ boyfriend? Maybe it's a woman. That would be news and I want to know it.

these are happening almost daily. sometimes i don't hear about them until the next day. there are undoubtedly mass shootings I don't even know happened, because i don't have live news. I have twitter, fb, and DU. I follow a lot of common sense gun law advocacy groups and that's where the initial news usually comes from.

i want to know when the shooter has been active on social media and possibly radicalized online. i want to know when there were warning signs, when maybe it didn't have to happen if there had been an intervention and if the guns weren't available to the shooter.

i mean these occurrences don't HAVE to happen. they didn't used to be an almost daily occurrence. there are issues in our society and the prevalence of guns is an issue to me. how are we going to fix it if we don't learn these details?
