He could have retired quietly, or just worked out of the spotlight for some conservative policy institution, and would have gone down in history as "America's Mayor" who helped calm the city after the attack.

But noooooooooo. He needed more spotlight. And his true nature has come screaming out. What an ass. What an embarrassment.
