53. I took that oath in 1965.

I now think that what I swore to preserve protect and defend was the paradox.

That wonderful document gives us an assurance of basic freedoms in the first ten amendments.

Those first ten amendments are also a tool kit that can be used to burn down the whole fucking idea.

And we lose.

We could easily stop the spewers of lies with extreme prejudice.

Doing so will violate and nullify the assurances of freedom in the document.

And we lose.

Edit to add: I should have said "rights" rather than "freedoms". The word "freedom" got tainted about twenty years ago.
