I remember my mom wanted to go right after they legalized gambling there just to see... so we went not long after they opened Resorts, International. They used to have the buses going down there from Philly that cost $10 and they handed you $10 in quarters when you got off the bus at the casino. There were seniors who were down there very day. I think the trip was less than 90 minutes (including traffic, etc).

Eventually PA legalized gambling and when we finally added the last piece - legalized table games, that was pretty much the end of the PA - NJ day-trippers.
