7. Actually, this not so young man was from New York

The parents of the boy he killed have protested his release at every one of his parole hearings. I don't think he should have walked free, but I fear the length his incarceration will make it that much harder for him to make something of his pitiful life.

And BTW, his mother took antiseizure medication for her epilepsy when she was pregnant with him which cause his oddly shaped ears and learning disabilities. That along with his bright red hair made him the target of relentless bullying. He was physically, and possibly sexually, abused by his step/adoptive father. All this came out in the trial, but he was still given 9 to life.
