I understand the it could be a year before any Abrams arrive in Ukraine because they've been ordered from the manufacturer, and will not be provided from existing stock. I can imagine Abrams tanks being positioned in purely defensive positions around Kyev where they probably won't actually take part in a battle, but they won't need much fuel and maintenance won't be a big issue. The Leopards will be provided much more quickly, and will be game changer for Ukraine.
